We will rebuild him, making better, stronger, faster.
Sometimes things turn out better than expected, I believe this is one of those times. Since the MINI is going to be at Detroit Tuned for a while as we wait for the Hamann bumper to be built, I decided now is the time to do the rest of the tweaks I’ve wanted to do.
This series will track the progress of the car as the boys at Detroit Tuned work diligently to put it back together.

MINIs on the Dragon Prep
Another year has almost rolled by, and its time to start thinking about the Dragon! Mini’s on the Dragon 10 takes place this year on May 2 – May 6.
My last visit to Chad at Detroit Tuned discovered that Chakik is in need of a few replacement parts. Most notably new front control arm bushings. Powerflex MINI bushings were recommended. Now I just need to stop buying steampunk stuff so I can afford them.

Tail Light BLACK OUT!!!!!
HUGE Thank you to Chad from Detroit Tuned for doing this incredible work. The worst piece of chrome left on the outside was the rings on the taillights. NO MORE! BAM! BOOM! I frakking love the way the boot looks now. This is way better than the rear BKK that we did. (tho thats pimp too, pics to come)
Sorry for the photo quality, my first gen iPhone is about done.

Detroit Tuned / Mynes Dyno Results
Results of yesterdays Dyno Tune Party at Detroit Tuned. The Mynes guys were awesome!
I went in from Jan’s tune 2 years ago with : 207.5 / 170.1
Ended up with 208.3whp and 191.9 ft/lb of torque.
Its noticeably smoother across all RPMs I’m very happy with the results. And Chad fixed a rattle in my SC belt tensioner.
