So the new bumper and splitter are sweet. Sproket is in the shop now getting its new bumper and wing. If there was a frequent bumper punch card, I’m pretty sure I’d have earned a free one by now.
Chad at Detroit Tuned has been working all weekend getting the bumper back together. I opted for the MINI Aero kit bumper, but we filled in the bumper grill area and the side markers. The splitter looks sweet, and bulletproof. Opted to leave the giant Hella Black Magic driving lights off this time. I’d like to find smaller lights, or maybe even an LED light bar.
Can’t wait to see it in person.
The dragon finally claimed the already damaged Prior Designs Bumper from the R52.
I never liked it as much as the cleaner Hamann one.
Probably just putting the aero bumper on it, due to finances, but I keep finding really cool ones from Japan.
This is the current favorite, I like it more than the Garbino one I have previously posted.

Dragon! Dragon! Dragon!
T-Minus one week until MOTD 14! I have three dragon posters available this year; a few copies of the generic Dragon poster from last year, a MOTD14 specific one, and a Brew Swap poster as well. These will be available at the Dragon first, any left overs will be available at the store here. If you are interested but can’t make the dragon, please contact me. The MOTD is limited to 80, only 42 of the Brew Swap were printed, and I’m not sure but I think its less than 20 of the original one.

Finally found a source for Blaze Blue plastidip online that wasn’t ridiculously overpriced so I attempted to paint the roof on Rocket blue.
It looks great, except for the fact that I did a terrible job painting it. It looks like some kind of strange marble camouflage pattern or something. It doesn’t look good, is what I’m saying. It’s also peeling at the front already. I’ll leave it for a few days, then maybe just leave it on the spoiler.
Finally got around to putting the M7 carbon fiber air diverter on Sproket. It’s mostly for looks, I know, but it does look really sweet. I didn’t stick it down, since we know we will be repainting the bumper once the new wing comes in! Can’t wait to see that.
Also put the summer wheels back on both cars. I always have wheel envy of the Konig Feathers that somehow became Amy’s summers 🙂
While we are still waiting on the full replacement wing for Amy’s car, the guys from Double Clutch Auto Worx contacted me and said they got a painted Leap Alpha C spoiler in. I couldn’t resist. It is somewhat subtle, but to me it makes a huge difference. Just enough more aggressive looking but not over the top.
Very happy!
Some before and after pictures:
I’ve been seeing more and more matte blue cars as prototypes out there. This Subaru is really close in color to mine. #dragonBlue
