The aero bumper is almost done being transformed. Paint hopefully this week! I really miss the convertible on perfect days like today.

Symbiotic Parking
One of the things I like about getting to work early, is that I can usually park in the same spot in the parking structure. There is a group of about 5 of us, that are always in pretty early, that park in the same spots. The guy across from me just got a sweet new pickup. He pulls pretty far through, because my car is so small, I still fit perfect. It also means most other cars won’t take my spot if he is already there.
Before you get angry about how close he is, keep in mind I was second to arrive for the photo. -
Another Bumper
The dragon finally claimed the already damaged Prior Designs Bumper from the R52.
I never liked it as much as the cleaner Hamann one.
Probably just putting the aero bumper on it, due to finances, but I keep finding really cool ones from Japan.
This is the current favorite, I like it more than the Garbino one I have previously posted.

Dragon Survived (somewhat)
Well we mostly survived this years MINIs on the Dragon. Friday the 13th claimed my sunglasses, my knife, and most of my front bumper.
Had a great time seeing everyone and ended up donating over $600 to the food bank and MOTD organizers via poster sales. I will have the extras for sale here soon if you missed out.

Dragon Posters Are Here
Dragon! Dragon! Dragon!
T-Minus one week until MOTD 14! I have three dragon posters available this year; a few copies of the generic Dragon poster from last year, a MOTD14 specific one, and a Brew Swap poster as well. These will be available at the Dragon first, any left overs will be available at the store here. If you are interested but can’t make the dragon, please contact me. The MOTD is limited to 80, only 42 of the Brew Swap were printed, and I’m not sure but I think its less than 20 of the original one.[ecwid widgets=”productbrowser search minicart” categories_per_row=”3″ grid=”3,3″ list=”10″ table=”20″ default_category_id=”0″ category_view=”grid” search_view=”list” minicart_layout=”MiniAttachToProductBrowser”]

Blue Roof Attempt
Finally found a source for Blaze Blue plastidip online that wasn’t ridiculously overpriced so I attempted to paint the roof on Rocket blue.
It looks great, except for the fact that I did a terrible job painting it. It looks like some kind of strange marble camouflage pattern or something. It doesn’t look good, is what I’m saying. It’s also peeling at the front already. I’ll leave it for a few days, then maybe just leave it on the spoiler.

More Carbon Fiber for Sproket
Finally got around to putting the M7 carbon fiber air diverter on Sproket. It’s mostly for looks, I know, but it does look really sweet. I didn’t stick it down, since we know we will be repainting the bumper once the new wing comes in! Can’t wait to see that.
Also put the summer wheels back on both cars. I always have wheel envy of the Konig Feathers that somehow became Amy’s summers 🙂 -
Iron Maiden
Not MINI related, but I need to update my other site apparently. #UpTheIrons
Had a fantastic time at Iron Maiden with my cousin Mike! What a great show! They played a lot of new stuff, but a nice mix of the old. I am impressed with the audio quality of the video I shot too. Wish I would have recorded the next song (Iron Maiden) too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkCMzbUpB7s
Here is the set list:
If Eternity Should Fail
Speed of Light
Children of the Damned
Tears of a Clown
The Red and the Black
The Trooper
Powerslave
Death or Glory
The Book of Souls
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
Encore:
The Number of the Beast
Blood Brothers

Rocket Got A Leap Spoiler
While we are still waiting on the full replacement wing for Amy’s car, the guys from Double Clutch Auto Worx contacted me and said they got a painted Leap Alpha C spoiler in. I couldn’t resist. It is somewhat subtle, but to me it makes a huge difference. Just enough more aggressive looking but not over the top.
Very happy!

Dragon Poster Print
There was some renewed interest in my Dragon poster, thanks to an LXM member sharing a photo of one beautifully matted and framed. If you are looking for the poster, look no further.
