  • Minis on the Dragon 2019

    MOTD 2019

Another year, more miles, fewer pictures.
We went kayaking and white water rafting this year, that was a lot of fun. Drove the Dragon twice. On the way in, and on the way out.

For fun, I added the first river photo from the first year I went down. Fun to see how both the car, and that location have changed.

  • GP3 GP3 GP3

What? Technically we are now a 4 MINI family! Put a deposit down yesterday for a 2020 GP3! I haven’t been this excited for a car in a long time. No idea what it looks like, what it costs, or what it does, but it will be awesome! Not even an official release date yet, sometime late next year.

  • MOTD 2018 – Blood on the Dragon

Another year, another great time. (more…)

  • MOTD 2017 – The Year of the Blackout

The car and I mostly survived another MOTD. Ohio chipped my windshield on the way down. And we lost power for a little over a day in Fontana Village and some crazy winds that took out several trees. Otherwise it was beautiful as always. Great friends, great drives, great times!

  • Jet Powered RC MINI

Here I thought my RC MINI Cooper was cool. (more…)

  • Electric Rocketman!

Its still unconfirmed, but it looks like MINI may finally make the electric Rocketman.

About time. Well in 2019, right about when I’ll need a new MINI!

  • Car Show Success and Failure

Saturday’s Clawson Lions Club Car Show was overall pretty fun. It was rainy for 2/3rds of the day which made it less fun.
Apparently when Chris and I went to eat lunch, where we sat 25 feet but in full view of the car, someone decided to check for themselves if it was wrap or paint by scratching the hood down to the metal. I really hate people. Did come home with a Sponsors Choice 4ft Trophy (basically a silver medal) which is pretty cool. The good photos are by Chris Ordon.

  • Car Show in Clawson

This Saturday I will be doing my first non-MINI only car show, in downtown Clawson. Stop on by if you are in the area, its supposed to be another beautiful day.

  • Bumpers and Wings

So the new bumper and splitter are sweet. Sproket is in the shop now getting its new bumper and wing. If there was a frequent bumper punch card, I’m pretty sure I’d have earned a free one by now.

  • New Bumper Looking Good

Chad at Detroit Tuned has been working all weekend getting the bumper back together. I opted for the MINI Aero kit bumper, but we filled in the bumper grill area and the side markers. The splitter looks sweet, and bulletproof. Opted to leave the giant Hella Black Magic driving lights off this time. I’d like to find smaller lights, or maybe even an LED light bar.
Can’t wait to see it in person.
